The Reality of Health Disparities in Cancer Care

Poverty and discrimination can disadvantage individuals to experience poorer health outcomes. This includes cancer outcomes. Because of health disparities, certain groups bear a higher cancer burden, with some more likely to develop or die from particular cancers.

This needs to change. Every person deserves awareness of the information and access to the tools they need to be as healthy as possible. At Exact Sciences, we will achieve our mission of eradicating cancer only if we focus on all individuals and each community faced with cancer.
