New developments

Exact Sciences announces expanded clinical validation of the Oncodetect test and molecular residual disease innovation roadmap

The Beta-CORRECT study confirms the clinical utility of the Oncodetect test for recurrence monitoring in stage II, III and resectable stage IV colorectal cancer; a whole-genome Oncodetect test powered by MAESTRO with an ultra-low limit of detection will be introduced in 2026.

Evidence validates the Oncodetect test’s ability to predict recurrence

Results from Alpha-CORRECT, a study with one of the longest MRD surveillance monitoring periods to date, show a positive Oncodetect test result is strongly associated with recurrence in stage III colon cancer patients.

Current MRD clinical studies

By investing in robust research and building a strong network of clinical collaborations, we are committed to making MRD testing an essential tool in cancer care.

Case studies and sample reports

Surveillance of a patient with stage IIA HR+ breast cancer

A 56-year old pre-menopausal woman was diagnosed with breast cancer and received multiple tests including the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score®, Riskguard®, OncoExTra®, and Oncodetect tests.

  • Diagnosis: Stage IIA HR+/HER2-negative breast cancer, BRCA2 and ESR1 mutations
  • Surgical intervention: Lumpectomy
  • Post-operative findings: Positive circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA)

Surveillance of a patient with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)

A 45-year old pre-menopausal woman with no comorbidities was diagnosed with stage III triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) and received multiple tests including the Riskguard, OncoExTra, and Oncodetect MRD tests.

  • Diagnosis: Stage III TNBC, negative germline testing, MSI-H/MMR deficiency
  • Surgical intervention: Resection of primary tumor
  • Post-operative findings: Positive circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA)
