Exact Sciences’ Growth Leads Wisconsin State Journal

Exact Sciences' growth and hiring was the topic of a front page headline in Wisconsin State Journal's Sunday edition this week.

The article highlights the company's hiring of more than 300 employees in the last 12 months, one of the largest such growths reported by any Madison-area company in that time period.

Here's an excerpt from the article, which is also viewable on the web.

With its home test kit for colorectal cancer now available for use in the U.S. and Europe, Exact Sciences Corp. has become one of the fastest-growing businesses in the Madison area.

One year ago, the company had 110 employees. Now it has 430. And the staff will likely double by the end of this year to more than 800, said Kevin Conroy, president, chief executive and chairman.

“I can’t think of anyone that’s had that level of growth in that time frame, outside of Exact and Epic,” said Matthew Mikolajewski, Madison Office of Business Resources manager.
