Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” of “personal information” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

We placed “sale” and “personal information” in quotes because California law gives those words unconventional meanings. A “sale” under the CCPA includes certain disclosures of “personal information” in exchange for something of value, even if no money trades hands. “Personal information” includes information such as unique online identifiers that do not directly identify any individuals, meaning that information might be “personal” even if it does not have anyone’s name, phone number, or address.

Exact Sciences generally does not “sell” personal information in the course of its business – we are not in the business of brokering data. But some of the technologies we use on our websites involve transfers of information that are “sales” under California law. California residents have the right to opt out of these transfers subject to certain limits.

Below we provide instructions for California residents to opt out of the “sales” that happen on our sites. You can also contact us at or 1-844-870-8876 to submit an opt-out request.

California residents can opt out of “sales” by configuring browser settings to reject third-party cookies. Web browsers generally accept cookies by default but allow users to change the settings so that the browser disables or rejects cookies, including cookies that involve “sales.” You can usually find your browser’s cookie settings in the Options or Preferences menu of your browser. We have added a few links to instructions to change cookie settings in some of the more common browsers. You can also learn more at

To reject cookies, you will need to configure each browser, on each device that you use. If you set your browser to decline cookies, some features of the services may not work as intended.

Please note that some transfers of your personal information may not be considered “sales,” and certain exemptions may apply under the CCPA. Configuring your browser to reject cookies may not affect other ways in which we share your personal information, which you can learn more about by reading our Privacy Notice to California Residents.
