Exact Sciences announces support of the American Red Cross to provide food, shelter and comfort to the communities devastated by Hurricane Ian. Residents in southwest Florida have a long road to recovery, after the Category 4 storm with 155 mph winds, left many areas unrecognizable and in need of aid.

The Red Cross is at the forefront of relief efforts in some of the hardest-hit areas, ensuring that no one faces this tough time alone. More than 1,800 Red Cross volunteers have provided their assistance at Red Cross shelters and disaster aid stations, to help residents cope with the challenges they are facing.

With help from partners like Exact Sciences, the Red Cross has provided a total of 823,000 meals and snacks, and some 167,000 comfort kits and other relief items. Trained volunteers have supported the health and mental health needs of families who have faced unimaginable loss.

Officials throughout Florida expect it may take months of ongoing efforts to rebuild infrastructure within these communities. If you would like to get involved in relief efforts for those impacted by Hurricane Ian, the American Red Cross recommends:
