At Exact Sciences, eradicating cancer is our purpose – and creating stronger, healthier communities is part of that journey. Our Employee Inclusion Networks (EINs) bring employees together to drive meaningful change, build belonging, and share their experiences.
At the start of 2025, the Commercial Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) set a goal to contribute 300 volunteer hours by using Exact Sciences’ Volunteer Time Off (VTO) benefit.
Members of the commercial team are located in communities across the United States. Rather than focusing on a single centralized event, the group empowered colleagues to volunteer individually in their local markets or to organize service opportunities for their teams.
Commercial WIN members supported a wide range of nonprofit organizations that reflect both personal passions and community needs, including:
- Dress for Success, helping women achieve economic independence
- American Cancer Society, advancing cancer research and patient support
- Ronald McDonald House, providing comfort to families with hospitalized children
- Girls Inc., inspiring girls to be strong, bright, and bold
- Local environmental and community cleanups, preserving shared spaces
By year’s end, members of the Commercial WIN had logged more than 630 volunteer hours, more than doubling the original goal. Beyond the hours logged, the initiative fostered something deeper: leadership growth and connection.
“We were able to engage people across our company – not just within our network – and motivate others to give back in whatever way made sense in their communities,” Dolly Mao, Exact Sciences Commercial WIN ambassador and nonprofit working group lead, reflected.
