For the fifth year, Exact Sciences sponsored the Cologuard Classic golf tournament in Tucson, Arizona, as part of the PGA TOUR Champions.  Focused on bringing advocates together for colorectal cancer, the Cologuard Classic is about more than golf.

The event aims to educate people on the importance of early detection of colorectal cancer through screening and recognizing those affected by the disease. The tournament kicks off Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month (March) with activities designed to raise awareness and funds for colorectal cancer screening and youth sports in the Tucson area.

This year, the 2022 Cologuard Classic golf tournament raised $723.672.50 for Southern Arizona charities with the support of Conquistador-led fundraising programs. The Tucson Conquistadores is a nonprofit organization supporting local youth and special needs amateur athletics, primarily in Southern Arizona.

In total, more than 80 local organizations will receive charitable funds as a result of the 2022 tournament, including First Tee-Tucson, El Rio Health Center Foundation, Special Olympics of Arizona, the Colon Cancer Coalition, Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, and many more.

“We are very honored to host the Cologuard Classic and to play a part in supporting so many worthy causes throughout Southern Arizona,” said 2022 Cologuard Classic Tournament Chairman Josh Robinson. “The Tucson community always supports this event, and we are grateful to everyone that helped make this year a success!”

The 2023 Cologuard Classic will take place at Omni Tucson National Resort, February 27th through March 5th.  For more information on the Cologuard Classic, visit www.CologuardClassic.com.
