Forward Spirit Focus: Feeding America

Exact Sciences is proud to team up with Feeding America^®, the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the United States.

This partnership is part of Forward Spirit, an effort Exact Sciences began in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Forward Spirit Community Recovery Sponsorships support organizations that keep our communities moving forward, even as levels of need rise and new challenges emerge due to the pandemic.

On behalf of Exact Sciences, Feeding America will direct financial support to the following food banks in cities where Exact Sciences has offices:

• Baltimore, MD: Maryland Food Bank
• Boston, MA: The Greater Boston Food Bank
• Madison, WI: Second Harvest of Southern Wisconsin     
• Phoenix, AZ: St. Mary's Food Bank
• Redwood City, CA: Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley
• Salt Lake City, UT: Utah Food Bank
• San Diego, CA: Feeding San Diego

Exact Sciences has many field and remote employees who do not live and work near an office location. In recognition of this, we sought to direct a community recovery sponsorship to an area with greatest need, regardless of location. This recipient is Mississippi Food Network, a food bank identified by Feeding America as facing particularly high need with low resources.
 
While these sponsorships are not enough to end hunger in America, we hope to provide some support and express our gratitude to the staff and volunteers of these organizations for their tireless service to our communities.
