Current and former military personnel looking to make a difference once they leave the service need look no further. Exact Sciences is hiring and looking for exceptionally talented people who want to be part of the company’s mission to advance earlier detection and fight cancer.

As part of this effort, the company is launching an exciting new partnership with Mission Wisconsin, an organization dedicated to helping military service members navigate their transition back into civilian life and find career opportunities after serving.

Between 200,000 and 250,000 military personnel transition out of active duty each year. Mission Wisconsin begins working with service members and their families as early as seven months before the end of their service to discuss what’s next and explore openings with leading companies in the state.

Headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, Exact Sciences is a leading provider of cancer screening and diagnostic tests. The company is working to deliver smarter solutions in cancer care, so patients and their health care providers have more information, and the clarity needed to take life-changing action, earlier. Building on the success of its noninvasive colorectal cancer screening, Cologuard, and Oncotype DX cancer treatment guidance tests, Exact Sciences is investing in its product pipeline to take on some of the deadliest cancers and improve patient care.

“We are proud to be working with a truly groundbreaking organization like Exact Sciences that values innovation, is creative in its talent acquisition approach, and also understands the value of military service,” said Steve Janke, founder and CEO of Mission Wisconsin.

You don’t have to be a scientist to work at Exact Sciences. The company is hiring for hundreds of open positions across a variety of fields and experience levels. Its Talent Acquisition team is actively working to share the company’s career opportunities with those who have served, and Exact Sciences is working to build lasting relationships within the military community.

“From supplies and logistics, to teamwork and planning, military veterans’ skills have direct applicability to the work we are doing to fight cancer,” said Sarah Condella, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Exact Sciences. “Our company offers those looking to make the transition to civilian life with a way to continue contributing to work that is bigger than themselves and positively impacts people around the world.”

Wisconsin leads the way when it comes to benefits for transitioning service members:

  • The state offers 23 of 26 veteran benefits recognized by the National Association of Secretaries and Directors of Veterans Affairs
  • The Wisconsin GI Bill is considered the best veteran educational benefit in the nation
  • 83 local Veteran Service Officers advocate for benefits and resources in the state
