The teams of Exact Sciences are united in the fight against cancer and draw strength from diverse opinions, backgrounds and experiences. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and can bring their whole selves to work. We also recognize that saying you want to be an inclusive workplace is one thing. Living it is another.

For that reason, Exact Sciences was proud to receive three pieces of external validation in 2019 that confirm we are on the right track to creating the best place to work for everyone.

Certified a Great Place to Work
Great Place to Work is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue and increased innovation. In July 2019, Exact Sciences became Great Place to Work-Certified. The people analytics and consulting firm uses validated employee feedback gathered with its rigorous, data-driven “For All” methodology. Through the certification process, 92% of Exact Sciences employees said the company is a great place to work.

Named a Best Workplace for Women
To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place to Work® analyzed anonymous survey feedback representing more than 4.6 million employees at Great Place to Work-Certified organizations. Employees responded to more than 60 survey questions anonymously rating their employers.

Included on Best Workplaces for Diversity List
In December 2019, Great Place to Work and Fortune named Exact Sciences to their Best Workplaces for Diversity list. Great Place to Work analyzed the experiences of women and people of all genders, underrepresented races/ethnicities, LGBTQ people, employees who are Boomers or older, and people who have disabilities, comparing their survey results to their colleagues’ results at the same organizations. Their anonymous responses to more than 60 survey questions reflecting day-to-day workplace treatment represented more than 4.8 million employees’ work lives.

We’re not done. Sarah Condella, Exact Sciences senior vice president of Human Resources wrote to employees:

“We’re tremendously honored to see Exact Sciences listed alongside national leaders and inspiring workplaces throughout the United States. However, we know that we can always do more and do better. Our presence on these lists does not mean we have achieved all our diversity and inclusion goals. In fact, receiving these honors only challenges us to keep going, until we create the best possible experience for all and a workforce as diverse as the patients we serve around the world.”

Benefits offered to all Exact Sciences employees include:

  • Health insurance effective the first day of employment
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Company stock
  • Paid family leave
  • Four weeks paid time off
