As part of Hunger Action Month—a nationwide effort to raise awareness about the 18 million U.S. households facing food insecurity1—more than 140 golfers gathered at Bishop’s Bay Country Club in Middleton, Wisconsin, for WayForward Resources’ annual Chip In to End Hunger event.
“This annual event is not only a fantastic golf experience but also helps ensure our neighbors have access to enough nutritious food,” said Beth Johnson, Community Engagement Manager at WayForward Resources. “This year’s event raised more than $70,000 to support our programs.”
WayForward Resources provides programs and services to families and individuals facing food and housing insecurity. Exact Sciences is proud to support the organization through donations and volunteering. Together, the partnership has helped WayForward provide over 1,500 meals to people in the Dane County community.
In 2024, WayForward served nearly 15,000 people, making fundraising events like Chip In to End Hunger and community partnerships essential.
“This support is critical to our work in ensuring that our neighbors don't experience hunger or the trauma of eviction,” says Johnson. “Together, we’re building a stronger community where everyone has the stability to thrive.”
