Paul Clancy has more than 30 years of experience in financial management and strategic business planning, and served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company (Nasdaq: ALXN), from July 2017 to November 2019. Prior to joining Alexion, Mr. Clancy served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Biogen Inc., a biotechnology company (Nasdaq: BIIB), from August 2007 until June 2017. He also served as Senior Vice President of Finance of Biogen, with responsibilities for leading the treasury, tax, investor relations and business planning groups. Prior to the 2003 merger of Biogen, Inc. and IDEC Pharmaceuticals Corporation to form Biogen, Mr. Clancy was the Vice President of Portfolio Management of Biogen. He joined Biogen in 2001 as Vice President of U.S. Marketing. Before Biogen, Mr. Clancy spent 13 years at PepsiCo Inc., a food and beverage company, serving in a variety of financial and general management positions, including Vice President and General Manager of PepsiCo’s Great West Business Unit. Mr. Clancy earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Babson College and an MBA from Columbia University.
