Eli Casdin, Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner, founded Casdin Capital in 2011. Eli brings over 15 years of experience analyzing and investing in disruptive technologies and business models in Life Sciences and Healthcare.
Prior to founding Casdin, Eli was a Vice President at Alliance Bernstein where he was a member of the “Thematic” investment research group researching investment implications of new technologies for the life science and healthcare sectors. During his tenure at Alliance he authored the Alliance Bernstein black book, “The Dawn of Molecular Medicine”. Previously, Eli was a Research Analyst at Bear Sterns and before that, Cooper Hill Partners, a healthcare focused investment firm where he analyzed healthcare investments in life science tools, diagnostics and medical devices.
Eli earned a B.S. from Columbia University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
